1. General Terms
By booking a service with Star Service Centre (“we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. These terms apply to all mechanical repairs, RWC inspections, tyre fitting, battery replacement, clutch and suspension services provided at our Slacks Creek location.
2. Bookings & Cancellations
Online bookings are confirmed via email within 30 minutes. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 4 hours before your appointment time. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a $40 fee. We reserve the right to reschedule due to unforeseen workshop circumstances.
3. Estimates & Authorisation
All repair estimates are valid for 14 days. Once you authorise the work (verbally, electronically, or in writing), we will proceed with the repairs. Additional work discovered during service will be communicated for approval before proceeding. Star Service Centre is not liable for delays caused by parts availability.
4. Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of services. We accept cash, EFTPOS, Visa, Mastercard, and bank transfer. For invoices above $1000, we may request a 50% deposit prior to ordering parts. Late payments may incur interest at 2% per month.
5. Warranty & Liability
We provide a 12-month / 20,000km warranty on mechanical repairs (parts & labour) unless otherwise stated. RWC certificates are valid for 30 days or 1000km as per QLD Transport regulations. Our liability is limited to the cost of the service provided. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions or consequential damages.
6. Customer Vehicles & Data Storage
Customer vehicles are left at owner’s risk. Star Service Centre maintains secure digital records (vehicle VIN, service history) in compliance with Australian Privacy Principles. You may request data deletion at any time. By using our services, you consent to digital storage of your vehicle history.
7. RWC Specific Conditions

This safety certificate is valid for:
- Licensed Motor Dealers - 3 months/1000km
- Private Sales - 2 months/2000km
Note: The validity of this safety certificate is determined by whichever expires first.
- This safety certificate can only be used once for a sale/transferxcluding sales/transfers between licensed motor dealers).
- This certificate or certificate number must be provided to the acquirer of the vehicle at transfer of registration.
- The inspection does not include a noise test and is not evidence the vehicle complies with statutory noise limits.
8. Tyre & Battery Orders
Tyres and batteries ordered online require full payment at booking. We guarantee fitment within 48 hours. If we cannot fit the product, a full refund will be issued.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes shall be handled through the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT).
